Adding your icon to your Splunk App

So far in this chapter, we have been using the appserer and static directories to add JavaScript libraries to our Splunk App to help add extra functionality to our users. Just before we finish up this chapter, I thought it would be a good time to show you where you can also add icon images to your Splunk App and the Splunk Web Framework will automatically pick them up and place them into the home page listing, the Splunk search bar and your App Bar of your Splunk App.

There are lots of free icons available for use. We have selected the following icon for our Stock Market Splunk App, which I think sums up what we are trying to achieve:
