Summary

We've done a lot of work in this chapter and covered some more advanced topics. As we developed our examples further, we learned more about our design and manipulated the layouts of our dashboards. We learned how to work with the navigation Simple XML file for our Splunk App to set up a default page for our users, and configured the way our menu structure is set up and displayed to our users. We also started working with our new Biological Cell Simulation Splunk App and discovered how to change the way our visualizations are set out on our dashboards, both using Simple XML and by adding simple JavaScript and CSS to our code. We also saw how to change the color of our text and charts from the default provided by Splunk.
