Summary

We've covered a lot of material in this chapter. We've looked at a number of examples of remote execution modules included in Salt and learned about the tools available to us as we write our own execution module functions. Finally, we created our own execution module, synced it to our minions, and ran it successfully!

In the next chapter, we're going to get into the configuration management aspect of Salt: states.
