Quickstart example

In this section, we will write some tests with Jasmine for a simple JavaScript file that has some string utilities. To begin with, let's download the Jasmine standalone from the release page at https://github.com/jasmine/jasmine/releases.

Once you download the jasmine-standalone, you will notice a folder structure, as shown in the following screenshot:

In the source directory, we keep our source code. In our example, we will use a simple StringUtils.js file that performs some operations on string variables.

The code for the StringUtils.js is as follows:
