Reading JSON files

For reading a file with JSON structure, there is a step named JSON Input. For specifying the fields to read from the file, you have to use JSONPath notation. You do it in the Fields tab, in a way similar to how the XPath expressions are used for reading XML files.

Using this step is not the only way for reading and parsing JSON structures. In the next chapter, we will learn more about the subject.
