In order to specify the format to apply to numbers, you can use the same notation as explained when we read files. As an example, all the currency values in the Transformation that sent sales data to a file were formatted as $#.00. For instance, the value 3302.4 was written as $3302.40.
If you neither specify the format nor the length or precision, PDI sends the data as it comes, without applying any format.
