Now that we have the template, we are ready to create a Transformation that injects the missing data. In our example, the missing data is the content of the Sheetname tab of the Excel configuration window. In this Transformation, we will complete this gap. We will do it with an ETL Metadata Injection step. The configuration of the step may seem complicated at first, but the idea is simple. In the configuration window of this step, we just tell which data has to be injected in which part of the template Transformation. This is how we do it:
- Create a Transformation.
- With a Get Variables step, read the ${SHEETNAME} variable.
