Appendix B. Debugger

In the first chapter of this book, it was briefly mentioned that the debugger was one of the most important tools when programming in AX. This appendix will give you a quick guide to how to use the debugger.

The debugger is installed as a separate application and can be opened directly from your Windows OS, or you can open it from AX. There are two ways to open the debugger in AX. You can open it before you start executing whatever you want to debug by clicking on the Start button (Alt+M) and navigating to All Programs | Microsoft Dynamics AX | Debugger.
