Before we proceed with installing an app on your device, you need to confirm a security setting in Android. By default, most Android devices don’t allow users to install any apps that didn’t come from the Google Play Store. This is to prevent users from installing apps from untrusted sources that could infect their device with malware. But here you are the source, and your friends will trust you, so they can feel good about installing your app. (Really, they can trust the app only as much as they trust you, but that’s outside the scope of this book.)
