Our first task is to make some global settings. Many of these are to do with the underlying platform on which Mambo is running (web and database server, and mail server setup, among others), some specify system-wide defaults.
These settings are the first step in getting the site to work the way you want it to.
The Site | Global Configuration menu option allows you to make these configuration changes that will apply "globally" to your site.
The configuration options are carefully organized into tabs based on the task or service to which they relate. You click on one of the tabs to bring up the options for that task:
