Stress is a universal phenomenon in projects. Tension between the interests of owner and contractor is probably the most documented type of stress. Less is known about role stress, however—especially about role stress caused by lack of clarity, conflicting demands, and overload at the team level

Our aim with this study is to shed light on the concept of role stress in project teams at both the individual and team levels. Moreover, we aim to investigate the influence of team learning behaviors in coping with role stress in project teams. Finally, we intend to investigate the influence of the project manager on the extent of team learning behaviors in the project team.
