The Research Project

This research project was initiated by a call for research proposals by the Project Management Institute (PMI). The call asked for investigations to uncover the nature, origins, and consequences of role stress in organizations. At first this caused amazement on our side, because we knew that the subject of role stress has been researched extensively over the past 30 years or so. However, when we scanned the literature, we discovered that role stress has hardly been investigated at the team level, particularly at the project team level.
