Animating Properties in the Menus

You can even animate the value of parameters in the menus. If you want to animate any property (almost everything in Blender can be animated), for example, the number of subdivisions in a modifier, the color of a material, or the influence of a constraint over an object, it’s very simple. Just place your cursor over the property value field and press I. Blender will store a keyframe for that property on the current frame. That property’s field will turn yellow on the frames where it has stored keyframes, and the field will be green in the rest of the frames just to let you know it owns an animation.
