Working with Armatures

In this section, you’ll learn how to create and edit armatures so you’ll know how to perform this critical step when you start working in the actual character rig. You’ll also learn how to access the properties of an armature or a bone and add constraints to them.

Caution

You should know that having your character and rig correctly centered in the scene is critical for the rigging process. If you haven’t yet done so, make sure your character model is looking in the direction of the positive Y-axis, in such a way that the left side of the character is on the negative X-axis and the right side of the character is on the positive X-axis.
