Exercises

1. Create several spheres and add different materials to each of them. Then, add different parameters to each material and see how this results in different effects when rendered. This exercise will help you understand how materials work and what each parameter does to the final result.

2. Select Cycles as your render engine, create a floor with a white diffuse shader, and add an object with a red shader on top of it. Then, create a light that illuminates the scene. Explore how the light makes the object’s red color reflect on the floor.

3. Using Cycles, add an object to any scene you want and apply an Emit shader to the object to see how it can be used to light the scene.
