Slide

With the Slide tool, when you select a vertex, an edge, or a loop, you can slide the selection along the adjacent edges. While you can use this tool with faces, it’s usually more intuitive when you use it with vertices and edges.

To use the Slide tool with vertices:

1. Select one or more vertices. (As a rule of thumb, it’s recommended that you use this tool with only one vertex at a time, as having more vertices selected will make the sliding unpredictable.)

2. Place your mouse near the edge where you want to slide the vertex.

3. Press Shift + V.

4. Drag your mouse to slide the vertex. Blender will show a yellow line to let you see where you can move the vertex.

5. Left click to confirm the new vertex position.
