Animation Window

When creating animations inside of Unity, you will always use the Animation window. The only exception would be when using scripted behaviors, but we will learn much more about those in the next chapter.

The Animation window by default looks empty, just as the Unity interface did when we first opened it back in Chapter 1, “Setting Up the Unity Development Environment.” Don’t let this fool you, however, as the window can become very chaotic and messy when dealing with a complex animation. Let’s take a look at what all of the parts of the Animation window are before we dive in and start making our very own messy animations!
