Malvertising

Malvertising, or malicious advertising, is a form of attack used by cyber criminals for tricking innocent users into installing malicious software on their desktops or mobile devices. The number of web and mobile ads has grown over 200% in just a year, and the bad news is that 20% of web and mobile ads are directing users to malicious content. This is due to the increase in the number of ad networks, which provide cyber criminals, a way to make money just by including a simple software library in their software. It is very common to see multiple ad networks embedded into mobile applications alongside a backdoor for cyber criminals to change the monetization method in the future.
