Maltego comes with a number of features depending on the version downloaded. There is a free version and a commercial version. Let us look at all the features available in the commercial version:
- Maltego can analyze links of up to 10000 entities on the internet and plot them on its node-based graph.
- Maltego returns a maximum of 12 entities related to a search keyword per search.
- Maltego can group the entities it finds together according to their similarities thus helping a user find the relevant entities easily and sift out the noise.
- Maltego supports the sharing of graphs, which is important in coordinated missions. This is done by exporting its graphs either in GraphML format or as entity lists.
