Old organizations

Another target that social engineers are always ready to pounce on is any organization that is old. Most young companies will have new staff and the new staff will ensure that they lay down some fundamentals such as strict IT policies and advanced security mechanisms to prevent many cyber threats from happening. Old companies, on the other hand, are targeted because they are likely culprits of using legacy IT systems that are vulnerable and keep crashing. There is at least a chance that they will have a computer that has been in use for decades and is normally scheduled for some sort of maintenance.
