Increasing predictability

The first way listed was to increase the predictability of a target. This is done through the observation of cues and other NLP pointers. A social engineer uses manipulation to bring a target to a point where he or she is highly susceptible to ideas. Feelings are manipulated to make a target open up to the social engineer's ideas. When the target has opened up, he or she is more predictable and ideas can be suggested to him or her. A good example of how manipulation can open up a target is through the use of lotteries or gambling.
