Creating distrust

To appear as heroes and problem solvers, social engineers may plan to create a staged distrust and probably wreak some havoc so that one of them can come up and appear as the hero. The distrust can be created between a target and a company representative, a banking institution, or even insurance company. There are many avenues in a target's life where chaos can be stage-managed. When the distrust and probably chaos arises, a social engineer will step in and try to resolve the issue with the aggravator. They will play along and, in the end, the target will have trust in the social engineer as a very resourceful person capable of ending conflicts.
