There is a common behavior whereby if someone is highly knowledgeable about something, it is okay to establish a conversation based on that knowledge. Therefore, if one can assume to be knowledgeable about something, he or she will consequently be inviting a number of inquisitive people about that knowledge. Conversations that would not be held will form and people that would not show interest to the social engineer will now have an incentive to do so.
