Lion Taming: Customizing and Administering OS X

While OS X Lion is generally fairly well behaved upon installation, there will likely come a time where the default settings don’t work for you and you’d like to change something. There are also a few things that any OS X user should know about basic system maintenance and backup. In Part 5, we will take a close look at Lion’s System Preferences and all the options hidden there, from customizing alert sounds to adding new users. We’ll then move on to adding external devices to your Mac, including setting up printers. Finally, we will discuss a number of routine tasks that will help keep your computer and your data safe and in good working order.
