Share Your Game

Now you have a game that you’re ready to share. The applications you’ve created are pretty large files. For SectorFive, the Windows executable is about 40MB, and the compressed OS X app bundle is 32MB. This is because each package includes a complete Ruby and Gosu installation, as well as any system resources that might be needed. To make sure the game runs on a wide range of computers, a lot of things are included. For this reason, you might want to share your game with a file-sharing service, such as Dropbox or Google Drive, rather than using email. Some email services, including Gmail, have file-size limits for attachments.
