illumos is a fork of the OpenSolaris operating system. It has several powerful networking features that make it the perfect candidate for deploying as a self-built router or firewall. There are three prefixes used: dladm, flowadm, and ipadm. These modules allow you to manage the interfaces, NetFlow, and tunnels. Also, as illumos is a fork of OpenSolaris, your playbook should work on OpenSolaris-based operating systems.
