Accelerated change events, often known as Kaizen Events, are frequently used within a Lean Sigma program. A (Lean Sigma) Kaizen Event is a means for bringing about change very quickly, in a matter of days versus weeks, but for a very specific problem set. This approach is applicable for projects that

• Don’t require extensive analytics and data capture

• Aren’t focused on accuracy or defects

• But instead focus on streamlining, improving flow, or removing complexity and thus increasing capacity or throughput or reducing Cycle Time and length ...
