Chapter 12Capturing and Using Process Metrics
Process metrics are useful to find out what needs to be improved and if our changes are doing any good. They can also be useful for high-level release planning.
We track two process metrics:

Velocity (features per week)
-
Cycle time (weeks per feature)
We capture these metrics entirely manually. It’s so easy that I’m surprised not all projects do this.
