In the fall of 2009, I was engaged by one of the world’s best-known banks to lead a series of personal best leadership workshops. The audience for this implementation consisted of some of the organization’s senior-level leaders who were projected to rise to the executive ranks.

The timing of this engagement was rather interesting. We had just experienced the financial meltdown and the bailout of many of the world’s largest full-service investment banks, and the U.S. banking industry was in the midst of a catastrophic collapse that would eventually erase billions in shareholder wealth.
