CREATING A CULTURE OF TRUNK DEVELOPMENT
While applying DevOps principles at scale requires good technical solutions, it is mostly about changing how people work. The technical solutions will require some finesse, but by far the biggest challenges will be around organizational change management and changing the culture. If executives can’t get people to embrace the changes then it doesn’t make sense to invest in the technical solutions. One of the most important cultural changes for aligning the work across the organization is having all the teams continually integrating and testing their code in a production-like environment.
