I’ve been a health care executive for 30 years. Early in my career, I was fortunate to work in SSM Healthcare where I watched Sister Mary Jean Ryan adopt the Baldrige Criteria and lead the process. I was so captivated by the journey and the ability I saw to align an entire organization toward one common goal that I began then and there the process to learn and adopt the Criteria.
