Over twenty years ago, J. Bonner Ritchie rewrote the maps in each of our minds. As students, he confronted us with unsettling contrasts to our worldviews. Bonner had a level of inquisitiveness and love of learning greater than either of us had ever experienced before. He was a champion of change whether as a student at the University of California, Berkeley, an officer for the U.S. Army, a faculty member and civil rights activist at the University of Michigan Business School, a business consultant to African American catfish farmers, a chairperson of the Utah State Liquor Commission, or currently as a tireless advocate of peace and prosperity for children around the world.
