How to Be Wise

You won’t be surprised to see that I’ve deconstructed wisdom into five behaviors. (I actually didn’t set out to do this, for those of you who might be wondering. Each of the leader attributes naturally fell into five discrete behaviors as we were developing and using them in our work with leaders over the years.) I think you’ll find the behavioral indicators especially useful here, as wisdom can seem amorphous and ill defined, but in fact it is both definable and developable. Here’s what we’ve discovered.
