The return

Good leaders know themselves inside and out. Self-reflection is acritical skill that delivers great benefits.

After a year on the ice I had three fully completed personal journals. Each night as I wound down I reflected on my day. This enforced time alone, just my journal and me, was the most powerful of all my time in Antarctica. It taught me much about myself, my attitudes and behaviours. And it taught me a lot about the people around me.
