When you ask participants to “discuss this in your small groups,” it is useful to have the group select a discussion or group leader. Leaders help focus the energy of the group and help create some accountability for the assigned task. It’s also a good idea to encourage the rotation of leadership among the group members to distribute participation and responsibility.
Some ideas for selecting and rotating group leaders include
the person with the first or last birthday in the year
the person with the most uncommon middle name
the person who had the farthest or shortest distance to travel from his or her ...
