Written Surveys

The written survey (whether distributed and completed online or on paper) provides a fast and relatively inexpensive way to gather information from a large number of staff. As with the other forms of gathering information identified in this chapter, you should ensure that you have sampled a diverse cross-section of your organization. This increases your confidence that you can generalize your findings to the entire organization.
