It was Wednesday morning, four days after the East Creek Cougar football team gave Coach Logan his eighteenth Texas State Football Championship, 38–21. It had been a close game through the first half, but not long into the second it became obvious that Coach Logan's leadership rules had paid off.

The players came to play that second half. They knew that the Coach had high expectations of them. They had high expectations of themselves.

They executed on what they had seen their coaches live all year long. Coach Logan and the rest of the staff had modeled what it meant to be champions and now they were champions themselves.
