Leadership Lesson # 4

Work hard.

 

Dads teach their children that if they want to get anywhere in life, they have to be prepared to work hard. Hard work, they stress, is the only road to success. Fathers tend to frown on life strategies that are based on anything else but working hard and doing your best. “Don’t expect anyone to hand you success. You have to earn it!” our dads tell us, starting when we are very young. They take every opportunity to get us to adopt this work ethic, no matter how old we are.
