Clarifying Expectations

Before attending a leadership development program, prospective participants should know the reasons for going, have an accurate understanding of what the program will cover, and feel assured that the lessons can be applied in the workplace. In addition, they should expect that the program will provide its content in their preferred format. For instance, they should know whether there will be classroom training, exercises in which participants learn about themselves in real-time situations, survey feedback, or some combination of these.
