Most people wouldn't start a new job, take a trip, or even go to a movie without first gathering some information on what they were about to do. Yet, in my experience, managers who attend leadership development programs show up all too often with little or no knowledge of what is about to occur, even though such experiences can have a major impact on their work and personal lives.
