Setting the Timelines

If you are conducting developmental programs using 360-degree feedback, the typical practice is to put a small group of participants through the process at one time. Using a Net-based system to facilitate the process, you would define the timelines, which would in turn drive the automated process. For example, you would plug in either the date that initial e-mail notices were to go out to participants or the date on which the feedback reports were to be available at the Web site. Then you would specify how long each step of the process was to take: participants could be given, say, seven days to build their rater lists, raters could have fourteen days to go to the Web site and complete their ratings, and a one-week cushion ...
