Your whole life is filled with opportunities for developing your leadership skills. Developmental experiences don't happen only at work. Learning opportunities don't happen only at home or in your community. Information, skill, and practice can come from a variety of sources. The key is to identify your own developmental needs and then find sources both at and away from work that can support your achieving those goals. Those sources can be people or they can be tasks.
