Have you ever been furious with an entire group of coworkers at one time? Perhaps a task force you supervised dropped the ball on a high-stakes project, or maybe your salesforce was woefully behind on making its sales target for the year. Maybe you walked in one morning and there they all were, just standing around, drinking coffee, and grumbling about how they weren't being paid what they were worth. Maybe your reaction was to do a full Mount Vesuvius.
Next time, instead of blowing up and making a scene, try this: take three slow, deep breaths, stand up straight, and proclaim in an authoritative yet controlled voice:
