Let's look at a specific example of a manager who was stuck and was unable to put together all the pieces that would enable her to traverse the process of change and get unstuck.

The manager had hired someone to fill a critical position in her group. But the new employee quickly proved to be a bad choice; his performance was clearly not up to standards.
