It seems that I may have a chance to visit Shanghai again in the near future, as CCL will be deepening its work on China-related research through a combination of in-country projects with Chinese organizations and research conducted from the United States, Singapore, and Europe. The research will touch on three principal areas: the leadership gap (to examine the Chinese people's expectations of their leaders and whether Chinese leaders meet those expectations), CCL's lessons of experience (to add data and knowledge from Chinese individuals and organizations to CCL's existing research), and bridging cultural barriers (to study, among other things, the challenges faced in leading diverse teams in various geographies, including ...
