BY THE BOOK
I have been doing some honest thinking lately about the biases formed by my own early experiences. Most of my biases were shaped in the diversity vacuum of the rural Midwest. I was unable to form firsthand opinions about racial, ethnic, and social groups different from my own because I was mostly isolated from them. Consequently, many of my biases were shaped or influenced by the things I read.
