This scenario is fictional, but it is likely being played out among African Americans and Latinos in hundreds of organizations across the nation. Latinos are now the largest minority group in the United States, having surpassed African Americans in that area. So it stands to reason that Latino representation among leaders in corporate America will continue to grow. However, as occurred with their black colleagues, there is a very real possibility that Latinos' road to the highest levels of organizations will be rocky, fraught with prejudice and unease, and often lonely.
