The desired changes that were being proposed by the change agents to the change targets would basically reinvent the division of academic affairs at ECU. This meant that everyone would be impacted in one way or another. With the concurrence of the chancellor, the provost initiated a comprehensive communication process, starting with a university-wide convocation held on January 16, 2003.
