Mentoring for the New Millennium
There are a number of very powerful mentoring programs in today’s corporations, but many are a standardized, one-size-fits-all approach, and many do not emphasize what this book has emphasized: the importance of understanding and supporting human nature’s role in male and female authentic leadership.
Our research shows that some women enter these programs only to find they are being coached to change to a male leadership approach. Men, on the other hand, find they are only or mainly coached on how to help women advance through what they perceive to be “soft science” or “touchy-feely” trainings.
