When I began writing these pages, I experienced firsthand how a more or less creative act, regardless of its quality, can completely “abduct you” and isolate you from your surroundings. Therefore, my first acknowledgment goes, without a doubt, to Maribel, my wife and companion in everything—including, of course, this work—and to my daughter, Raquel, who have most directly suffered the consequences of this project and the obsessions that came with it.
